Elections for the President of National Universities

• Definition

  Elections for a candidate of the president of national universities who are directly elected in accordance with means and procedures agreed by the faculty council.

• Election Date & Election Period

  Election Date: The date of election shall be decided by the Election Commission through a discussion with the President Nominating Committee from 120 to 60 days before the termination of term of office.
  
  Repeat elections and by-elections shall be held no later than 50 days after the date the necessity for an election is acknowledged.
  
  Election Period: 15 days (from the start date of the candidate registration period)

• Right to Vote & Right to Run for Election

  Right to Vote: Shall be in accordance with the regulations and rules detailing the recommendation of candidates for the president of the corresponding universities.
  
  Right to Run for Election: Shall be in accordance with the regulations and rules detailing the recommendation of candidates for the president of the corresponding universities.

• Term of Office: 4 years (No regulation that limits consecutive terms).
