The National Election Commission (NEC) of the Republic of Korea shared Korea's election management experience in response to COVID-19 to a total of nine diplomatic delegates in Korea, including ambassadors from three countries (Guatemala, Kyrgyzstan, and Oman), at the NEC’s main office in Gwacheon on November 12.." ​

This visit was made as the National Election Commission was selected as an example of disease prevention and disinfection at the ‘Good Governance Series in Korea 2020' for the diplomatic missions located in Korea hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. This is the third time the NEC was selected as a case of good governance since 2016 and 2018. 

During their visit, NEC Secretary General Kim Sehwan said “I am pleased that we can be a good example for other countries preparing for elections as we successfully held the 21st National Assembly elections despite the spread of COVID-19” and said “we are grateful for the compliments and interest from the various countries here today and I hope that our experience in election management will be helpful to your countries.”

Meanwhile, on November 6 Kuwaiti Ambassador H.E. Bader Al-Awadi visited the NEC ahead of the Kuwaiti parliamentary elections in December.

The NEC said "we will continue to help each country manage elections by seeking ways to develop election systems and respond to crisis situations such as COVID-19 through international exchange and cooperation in the field of elections."
