If a person listed on the overseas voter list, etc. does not vote at an overseas polling station, he/she may report to the district/city/county election commission that has jurisdiction over his/her address or final address (registration reference address for those without a final address) from 8 days before the election day to the election day and then vote at a polling station designated by the election commission. (Article 218-16③ of the Act)
※ Overseas absentees and overseas voters cannot vote at early voting stations according to Article 148 of the Act
A. Reporting Subject
○ Overseas absentees and overseas voters who did not vote at an overseas polling station
B. How to report
1) Reporting period: From 8 days before election day to before the end of voting on election day
2) Documents to be submitted: Returning Voter Application Form ※ Overseas voters must submit the ‘original nationality verification document’ announced by the overseas voting management officer
3) Submission location and method
Overseas absentee
- Submission location: District/city/county election commission in charge of address
- Method: National Election Commission website or in writing (in person or by facsimile)
Overseas voter
- District/city/county election commission in charge of final address (registration base address for those without a final address)
- In writing (in person)
A. Polling place
○ Overseas absentee: Polling station installed in the voting district in charge of address
○ Overseas voter: Polling station designated by the district/city/county election commission in charge
B. Voting Method
○ Returning voters present their identification at the voter list counter and receive a ballot
